Chelsey Edmunds, MSN, CPNP-AC

Cheslsey edmunds pediatric np.

Chelsey was born in Jacksonville, Florida and raised in a small town in northern Louisiana. She completed an undergraduate degree in Merchandising at Louisiana Tech University in 2011 before finding her true passion of nursing. In 2013, she obtained an A.S. in nursing from Bossier Parish Community College then continued to earn a B.S. in nursing from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Since her pediatric rotation in nursing school, she knew she had found her calling. The resiliency and passion for life that she saw in children drove her to a career in pediatrics. The majority of her years as an RN were spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit caring for the tiniest fighters. As a nurse at Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego, she had the opportunity to go through extensive training to become an advanced life support RN. This role solidified her decision to become a nurse practitioner. In 2021, she obtained a M.S. in nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner – Acute Care. She believes all patients deserve a strong advocate for their health, and as the mother of a child who at 5 months old had major surgery, she recognizes the importance of a strong and trusting provider-family relationship. Within pediatrics, her special interests include breastfeeding and early childhood development.

Chelsey now lives in Woodbridge with her husband, Matt, daughter, Ellyson, and son, Johnse. She enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, barre fitness, and having dance parties with her children! Her family has a senior pitbull, Wrigley, and young twin English bulldogs, Ghost and Buster, who keep them constantly entertained!
