Dr. Jon Farber grew up in New York City where he attended the United Nations International School through the 12th grade. He attended college at Princeton University, where he majored in psychology. He attended the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine, earning his MD there in 1977. He completed his pediatric residency training at Montefiore Hospital in New York, and went on to complete a fellowship in neurodevelopmental pediatrics at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1980.
Dr. Farber joined ALL Pediatrics in 1982. His special clinical interests include autism, developmental delay and intellectual disability. He is currently editor of the Journal Club for Contemporary Pediatrics. He resides in Alexandria with his wife, Michaela Zajicek-Farber PhD; his children Kate and Wesley are now adults out on their own. Dr. Farber enjoys bridge, chess, hiking and writing short stories, most recently in the Black Beacon Book of Mystery. He is an active member of the Mystery Writers of America.
