Shanti Chang, DNP, joined the ALL Pediatrics family in June of 2016 and in 2017 stepped in to cover our evening office hours at Lorton (M,T, TH & Fri).
Shanti was born at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton, FL., but grew up in Fairfax County, where she graduated from West Springfield High School.
She did her undergraduate work at James Madison University (Go Dukes !), where she also received her RN.
Shanti went on to obtain her Doctorate (DNP) in 2016 at George Mason University to become a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Asked why did she chose Pediatrics, Shanti stated: I chose Pediatrics to have an opportunity to involve the whole family. I hope our conversations about health promotion efforts will create more of a “healthy lifestyle culture” for children and adolescents, and have a lifelong impact for all family members involved.
Her treatment philosophy: prevention and education.
Her special clinical interests include: health promotion, especially when it comes to educating parents on their role in creating a supportive and loving environment for their children/adolescents both physically and mentally.
Shanti’s personal interests: Singing, reading, organizing my house, and learning new things.
